3 Steps to your SaaS-Solution

Data privacy and security

As an European SaaS provider, SparxSystems CE is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation, which has been in force in the EU since 25 May 2018 and takes precedence over national legislation.

At the same time, SparxSystems CE follows the rules of the ISO/IEC 27000 series applicable to SaaS. These information security standards are published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). The focus of this series is on best practice recommendations for organising information security in the context of an Information Security Management System (ISMS).

The Lieber.Group, the parent company of SparxSystems CE, is also currently undergoing the process for TISAX certification (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange), a standard for an ISMS. The standard concerns the secure processing of information from business partners, the protection of prototypes and data protection in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) for possible business transactions between car manufacturers and their service providers or suppliers.
As SparxSystems CE is headquartered in Vienna, Europe is considered the place of jurisdiction.

Our servers are located in a data centre in Vienna and naturally meet all data security and compliance requirements, as evidenced by several certifications (e.g. ISO 27001).

Continuous checks are carried out in our data centre in order to guarantee a smooth and secure process. This means that any impairment or failure can be virtually ruled out. However, if a malfunction does occur, you will be informed immediately and automatically.

Sustainability

In Europe, climate change and especially the associated changes in energy consumption are taken very seriously. Therefore, SparxSystems CE also supports efforts to reduce the ecological footprint or energy consumption, for example by using modern and economical servers for the provision of SaaS services.

The SaaS offering from SparxSystems CE increases the economic productivity in your company after a short time due to its innovative approach. Product Suite

Sparx Systems has been developing the Sparx Product Suite for over 25 years. This currently consists of Enterprise Architect for modelling, Pro Cloud Server as an integration platform and Prolaborate for visualisation and as an interface between modellers and management. SparxSystems Central Europe distributes the SparxSystems Product Suite in Europe and offers comprehensive services such as support and training.

Training

The development of modern software and systems supported by software is becoming increasingly elaborate and complex. The use of graphical modelling languages and appropriate tools can help to get a grip on this complexity. However, there are a few basic things to keep in mind when taking this step in order to really exploit the benefits of models. SparxSystems CE imparts this know-how in the Academy for Professional Modelling.

Until now, IT departments installed software on central servers or on employees’ laptops and therefore had to constantly update and maintain it. This is associated with, among other things, a limitation of storage capacity and an elaborate licence management process. With SaaS, the applications are centrally located at the SaaS provider.

This relieves you as a user of all licence and hardware restrictions as well as the ongoing maintenance required. Economically, the purchase of software requires high upfront investments, plus costs for energy, servers and storage space. The company must also pay for any repairs and damages in order to be able to use the software permanently. With SaaS, you relieve yourself of these costs and only pay for the services you actually use. You don’t need to worry about software and hardware, but concentrate entirely on your main business.
